Ballinrobe and Dundalk betting tips: Peter O'Hehir's selections for Friday's horse racing action

Ordinary World, representing the Kerry National-winning combination of Henry de Bromhead and Rachael Blackmore, should prove the class-act on today’s National Hunt card in Ballinrobe, the last meeting of 2019 at the picturesque County Mayo track.

This eight-race card shares the Friday slot with a return to Dundalk, where eight races will also face punters on a very tough card.

Up west, highly-tried Ordinary World, runner-up to stable-companion Moon Over Germany, over a short trip, on today’s track, last month.

During the winter, his exploits included a second to Ballyoisin in a Grade 2 in Navan, a third to Simply Ned in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown and a runner-up position behind Min in a similar contest at the Dublin Racing Festival in February.

Although not a regular winner, Ordinary World, sure to be sent off at long odds-on, should make short work of his four rivals.

Earlier, Colin Bowe has double prospects with Fort Worth Texas in the mares maiden hurdle and Victoria Bay, also to be ridden by Barry O’Neill, in the mares handicap hurdle.

In Dundalk, Aidan O’Brien’s course winner Dunkirk Harbour, also successful at Killarney in July before being tried in a Group 2 at the Curragh last time, sets the standard in the Servisource Education Support Race.

And the once-raced Pixel Power, runner-up t Cloughavouke on her only start, at Limerick in July, is napped to land the two-year-old median auction maiden for Jessica Harrington and Shane Foley.
