
The ATOD Children and Youth Development Association presents "Manorah Fantasy & Peter Pan 2018", which will be staged at Kad Theatre of Kad Suan Kaew shopping complex in Chiang Mai, on March 18 at noon and 3.30pm.
Held in collaboration with the Australian Teachers of Dancing, the double-bill production will feature a 30-minute show of Manohra Fantasy with music beautifully composed for the Manohra ballet by the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej. Lasting for 75 minutes, "Peter Pan 2018" will feature various styles of dances such as jazz and modern and contemporary dance.
The main principal cast comprises foreign and Thai ballet dancers who won outstanding prizes including the first, second and third prizes; and gold and silver medals from many international dance competitions in Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia and the Philippines and have performed on overseas stage such as in Japan, Dubai.
The line-up includes Chatnapha Kittirattanapaiboon, Piyawat Muninthorn, Nitchakan Tuanrat, Timarin Wing Holmes, Naphaswan Pratummes, Paopanga Karunnaraporn, Nalinpun Karunnaraporn, Teenutcha Phisoot, Jidapa Wattanasiri, Amansara Udomphant, Kaoru Sugimoto, Saroch Rochprasertgul, Chonnakarn Panpijit and Jiranuwat Somwong.
They will be joined by more than 300 dance students from the Chiang Mai Ballet Academy, which has been bestowed the royal award for a school of the highest standard by King Bhumibol.
Acting as artistic director for this charity performance is ML Preeyapun Sridhavat, winner of the Asia-Pacific Inspired Woman Award 2002 (in the art category) in Singapore and recipient of the Outstanding Asean Women Entrepreneur Award 2015 (in art and culture category) in Hanoi, Vietnam.
Tickets cost 300, 500, 800 and 1,000 baht and can be purchased from the information counter at Kad Suan Kaew, the ATOD Children and Youth Development Association and Chiang Mai Ballet Academy. Special group rates for students are available. Proceeds will go to help with scholarships for orphan students at 48th Pansa Chalermprakiat School under the royal patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn in Lamphun province.
