One of the most popular television shows ‘Balika Vadhu’ is returning to the screen with its second season and promo of the second season is out. The promo sets the mood and tone of what the show is about.
Just like the previous season, this show also focuses on female child marriages that are still prevalent in India. The channel released the promo, which gives a glimpse of two middle-age men, who wish to change their relationship as friends to relatives. One of them gets his older son married to a baby girl, who’s hardly a few months old.
The channel shared the promo with the caption, “Apni chahat puri karne ke liye, do doston ne bali chadhaayi apne masum baccho ke bacchpan ki! Baal Vivah ek aisi kupratha hai jise mitaane ke liye janam liya hai ek nayi Anandi ne.”

The show is premiering on August 9 and got a prime time slot at 8pm.
The makers are targeting to showcase the deep-rooted culture of child marriage. This time around the show will star young actors Shreya Patel of Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha fame and Vansh Sayani, who has done Baal Veer, in the lead roles.
