Balham murder: man charged with killing wife after she died from 'multiple injuries' in south London

A man has been charged with murdering his wife in south London.

Tanseen Sheikh was found dead at an address in Balham on Monday morning.

The cause of the 62-year-old’s death has been given as multiple injuries, Scotland Yard said.

Naseer Khan, of Levenham Road, Balham, is due in court on Wednesday charged over her killing.

Khan, 66, was arrested at the scene and charged in the early hours of Wednesday.

He has been remanded in custody and is due before magistrates in Wimbledon.

Ms Sheikh was the second woman killed in London in just 24 hours.

A 35-year-old woman died after she was found suffering an abdominal injury in Ilford early on Monday.
