After starring in the likes of Elden Ring, Baldur's Gate 3 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Jennifer English is about to take on her dream role in Soulframe.
Digital Extremes' upcoming MMO Soulframe is clearly looking to become a fantasy RPG great, because when you look at the biggest fantasy RPG award winners over the last five or so years they have one thing in common. Elden Ring's Latenna, Baldur's Gate 3's Shadowheart, and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's Maelle are all voiced by actor Jennifer English, who is clearly a good luck charm for game of the year winners.
Earlier this month it was confirmed that English will be lending her voice to Alora, the Empress of Eldveil in Soulframe. And from speaking to GamesRadar+ at the Golden Joystick Awards 2025, English clearly holds the role in high regard, as soon as the role was mentioned she exclaimed "Oh, my God, it's my dream part."
English elaborated "I play a fairy empress, and her morals are in line with nature itself." and while English was not allowed to spoil anything that wasn't already confirmed about the character in the stream, she did add "I'm doing a little Welsh accent, and I am thrilled." before praising the team at Digital Extremes.
Frankly there isn't much that is actually known about the character as of yet, but the official Soulframe Twitter account did release some concept art of the character, and it's frankly a really sick design coming from someone who hasn't kept up with the game, with different insects being integrated into the design.
