Baldoyle community's genius way of covering graffiti gives green finger to anti-social gangs

A Dublin town has rolled up their sleeves and got their creative thinking on by coming up with a brilliant initiative to prevent littering in their local park.

Members of Baldoyle Tidy Towns and Friends killed two birds with one stone by covering up anti-social graffiti in the park with a large anti-littering warning.

The stunning mural reads "Our Park, Your Waste" and the project was funded by the Fingal Environment Department Anti-Litter Anti-Graffiti fund in cooperation with the Operations/Parks Department.

Posting about the groups great community work, Fingal County Council said: Baldoyle Tidy Towns & Friends painted this beautiful mural in Seagrange Park Baldoyle to highlight the issue of litter.

"The mural was designed by Carole Fannon (DesignCarole) and funded by the Fingal Environment Department Anti-Litter Anti-Graffiti fund in cooperation with the Operations/Parks Department.

"Well done to everyone involved."
