Baldoyle bruiser Becky Lynch hotly tipped to win 'Superbowl' of wrestling

Baldoyle's own Wrestlemania sensation Becky Lynch is being tipped to walk out of New Jersey's MetLife Stadium as the new WWE Raw Women's Champion.

The Royal Rumble winner - whose real name is Rebecca Quin - is the hot favourite to win the sport's biggest match of the year when she takes to the ring on April 7.

The bookies have the north Dubliner as short as 2/5 to claim victory in the women’s Wrestlemania triple-threat title match - despite having to face former UFC ace Ronda Rousey AND feared Smackdown women's champion Charlotte Flair.

Dublin woman Becky Lynch set to headline WWE WrestleMania as part of first-ever women's main event

Known as the 'Showcase of the Immortals', Wrestlemania is best described as the sport's version of the World Cup final - or "WWE's Superbowl".

And this will be the first Wrestlemania with a women’s match as the main event.

Becky will wrestle American WWE Raw women’s champion and judo Olympic medal winner Rousey who is 9/4 with BoyleSports and  second-generation star Flair, who is the 7/1 outsider of the three.

The eagerly awaited WrestleMania 35 female battle will take place in MetLife, home of NFL teams New York Giants and Jets, and it promises to be an epic night, with Rousey putting her title on the line.

Conor McGregor retires: Khabib Nurmagomedov crowns himself 'king of the jungle' while John Kavanagh wants to join McGregor on his sofa

Meanwhile, the bookie has priced Becky Lynch at 7/4 from 5/2 to team up with MMA star Conor McGregor who has already been backed into 7/2 from 5/1 for his UFC comeback, after his announcement to retire earlier this week.

BoyleSports have also priced up Becky to appear on I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here at a handsome 25/1 and a short 10/11 to appear on a non-reality TV show.

Baldoyle's Becky Lynch wins WWE Women's Rumble 2019 to book Wrestlemania spot

Boylesports' Sarah Kinsella said: "This is going to be a fantastic fight between three hot blooded females who will stop at nothing to claim victory and it has all the ingredients for success.

"We will be cheering on our Irish native Becky Lynch and at odds of 2/5, the market speaks for itself.

"It won’t be an easy fight for Becky but perhaps the luck of the Irish will be on the Baldoyle girl's side against former MMA star Rousey, and Smackdown champion Flair."
