Balding man said his hair grew back when he stopped washing it

A balding man said that he reversed his receding hairline and now has a full head of hair - all because he stopped washing it.

Nick Coetzee took to TikTok, where he uploads as @_nickcoetzee, to share his story, adding that he started to lose his hair when he was in university.

He said that one day he thought he should make his remaining hair healthy by making "natural oils", as it was falling out in clumps and he had to do something.

So he gave up shampoo and soon Nick noticed a difference, and now he once again has a full head of hair, as the Daily Star reports.

What do you think about Nick's theory? Let us know in the comments...

In a video on TikTok, Nick said: "Surprisingly my hair got a lot healthier, and I've now found that there's an entire movement around it, it's called the 'nopoomovement'.

The hashtag #nopoomethod has millions of views on TikTok as more people turn away from using detergents on their hair.

Nick says: "You might think if you stop washing your hair it's going to be greasy, and it does do that for about two or three weeks.

"But after that your natural oils come back, you've been stripping them with all the harsh chemicals, and then your hair can be extremely healthy, without having to wash it anymore."

The video was watched more than half a million times and people in the comments were curious about the #nopoo trend.

One viewer said: "100 per cent I haven’t washed my hair in two years for the same reason! Couldn’t back this more."

"Might try this, it's not coming out in clumps but my hair is receding at the sides at the top," said a second viewer.

Dr Brian Boxer Wachler sounded cynical and commented on the video with the cap emoji, writing: "Possibly not."

Another user said: "Tried for four weeks, hair got so damn greasy and oily I started cooking fries with that s***."

Someone else shared: "I sat behind a girl in school who never washed her hair. I can still remember the smell 20 years later."
