Balaclava-clad thugs left an 18--year-old woman 's windpipe crushed after strangling her in her car as they stole her watch.
The masked men were carrying bats at the time of the brutal ordeal and dived out of white transit van as the young woman sat parked in her BMW A180.
The Liverpool Echo reports that Merseyside Police are appealing for information after the reported robbery and assault around 10.30pm on Tuesday, March 23.
A female pal had accompanied the woman when a white Ford Transit van pulled up in front of her vehicle.
Two men wearing balaclavas got out and attempted to smash the driver window with a bat.
One of the suspects put his hands on the victim's neck and made threats, before taking a Rolex watch and fleeing the scene.
Her cruel attackers told the woman they would kill her and she suffered cuts, bruises and a crushed windpipe.
Detective Inspector Ben Dyer of Merseyside Police, said: "This was a frightening, opportunistic robbery. The victim was threatened, assaulted and left terrified and we continue to investigate.
“If you were in the area that night and saw the incident or captured this vehicle on your own CCTV or dashcam, please come forward and we will put those responsible before the courts.
"Likewise, if you were offered or saw for sale a Rolex watch around this time, we want to hear from you."
