HYDERABAD: Former Shadnagar MLA and former Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) board member Bakkina Narsimhulu will be the new Telangana - Telugu Desam Party (TTDP) chief.
The announcement came on Monday after speculation over the few names including former Rajya Sabha member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy among probable names.
Interestingly party top brass chose a dalit leader Narsimhulu over other possible names and former and first TTDP chief L Ramana belonged to BC community. Narasimhulu met TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu in Amaravati and said that he would work to strengthen the party. “I will stay with TDP till my death, I will not change the party, I was given many great opportunities in the party by our leadership” he said.
Narsimhulu is one of the veterans in the party and joined the party during NTR ‘s time when the party was launched in 1984.
