Bakery behind Scotland's best potato scones and rolls opens in Ayrshire village

An award-winning bakery has opened a new shop in Ayrshire today.

Beth Browning's Bakery has opened an outlet in Kilmaurs as part of expansion plans.

With stores in Kilwinning and Stevenston, the Main Street venture is the firm's first venue in East Ayrshire.

Best known for their award-winning rolls and potato scones, the bakery also stocks pies and cakes.

In 2018 the Scottish Baker of the Year Awards crowned Beth Brownings' tattie scones and morning rolls as the best in the country.
