Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield took several hits in Cleveland’s 32-23 win over the visiting Indianapolis Colts on Sunday. One of those hits, a shot to the ribs in the early part of the fourth quarter, has left a mark on the Browns’ plucky QB.
Mayfield and Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski both indicated in their postgame press conferences that Mayfield will need x-rays on his sore ribs on Monday.
Mayfield also appeared to injure his hand late in the game after taking a hit from Colts DE Justin Houston, but that doesn’t seem to concern the quarterback as much as his ribs.
Should Browns fans be concerned that Mayfield could miss next Sunday’s AFC North showdown in Pittsburgh? As Baker often does, he answered that question colorfully,
“Momma didn’t raise no wuss.”
