Preseason is the time for NFL fans to dream. Anything can happen…even wildly unlikely Super Bowl matchups.
Touchdown Wire’s Barry Werner explored some of those summer Super Bowl dreams in a fun fantasy piece on the most fun potential matchups for the next NFL championship. One of the featured fantasies is one Browns fans would very much like to see:
Baker Mayfield vs. Kyler Murray
Sure, it would technically be the Browns vs. the Arizona Cardinals. The QBs are understandably the big draw,
Back-to-back Heisman winners from Oklahoma meet in a Super Bowl. Baker Mayfield has a big jump start on fellow Sooner Murray as the Browns are on the verge of being a deep playoff contender. They are both young with incredibly bright futures. Who knows, this one could actually eventually happen.
It’s important to note these are truly “dream” scenarios and not in any way meant to be realistic or predictive. It’s for fun, folks, and the idea of Mayfield vs. Murray sure would be a fun (hypothetical) Super Bowl to watch for anyone, not just fans of the Browns and Cardinals.
