Baker Mayfield not happy about some Browns fans wanting to trade for Deshaun Watson

The Houston Texans have themselves a problem. Star quarterback Deshaun Watson, the NFL’s leading passer in 2020, wants out after a series of maneuvers the organization has made that aren’t exactly conducive to winning.

Some Browns fans have indicated some degree of wanderlust in trying to acquire Watson. The incumbent Browns franchise quarterback, Baker Mayfield, isn’t thrilled at the straying eyes.

Mayfield clapped back at “browns” who think it’s a good idea to throw away all the success the team just experiences by trading for Watson. And he wanted everyone to know it, too; his response to one of the tweets is now pinned to his Twitter profile.

Mayfield is right to get upset. He’s coming off a great season of his own and proved an exceptional fit for coach Kevin Stefanski’s offense. Watson is a worthy Pro Bowl talent, but the Browns should be very happy with Mayfield and the bright future they have together.
