Baker Mayfield has spent his entire NFL career with a beard. He showed up to his post-draft press conference with a 5 o’clock shadow and seemingly hadn’t shaved for the rest of the season.
Well, that era has ended.
The Cleveland Browns shared on Twitter a look at their fresh-shaven quarterback at OTAs on Thursday. Mayfield showed up to workouts with a James Harden-esque beard but decided to make the change overnight. And honestly, I’ve gotten so used to seeing Mayfield with a beard that I forgot what he looked like without one.
He really did look like a completely different person.

Browns fans had some mixed reactions to the facial-hair news.
Others thought that Colin Cowherd would probably find a reason to criticize him for it.
We just know that’s going to happen.
Not all is lost, though. The good news for Baker Beard enthusiasts is that beards grow back.
