Baker Mayfield got into it with Bengals fans during Week 17

Cleveland Browns quarterback Baker Mayfield had a rough day at the office in Week 17.

The office was Paul Brown Stadium and well before the 33-23 Cincinnati Bengals win, Mayfield found himself in a brief spat with fans of the hosts.

As seen above, some friendly trash talk by Bengals fans resulted in Mayfield inviting said fan down to the field. The counter — obvious at the time and even moreso in hindsight — was the simple fact the fan wasn’t allowed to do so.

Mayfield finished his day with 279 yards and a trio of touchdowns and interceptions, completing just 12 of his 27 attempts. Head coach Freddie Kitchens was fired later that evening.
