Baker Mayfield is “good to go” for the Cleveland Browns’ Week 8 matchup with the New England Patriots. That’s the word from Browns coach Freddie Kitchens as the team returned from the bye week break.
Mayfield suffered a hip injury during the Browns’ Week 6 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He briefly left the field for evaluation but did not miss a snap. The second-year QB did not participate in practice sessions last week.
When asked about Mayfield’s status after practice, Kitchens was very encouraged.
“I thought he looked good today,” Kitchens said. “Focused, concentrated, threw the ball well, moved around well. He is good to go.”
Mayfield and the 2-4 Browns head to New England to face the Patriots in Week 8.
