Bake Off fans were aghast as Prue set the bakers the task of making a very unusual sticky toffee pudding.
Dessert week on the Channel 4 show saw the contestants struggling with a complicated recipe to make four individual sticky toffee puddings.
The tricky technical challenge required crème anglaise and a tuile biscuit - and viewers said it was unlike any sticky toffee pudding they had eaten or made before.
David Knowles said on Twitter: "Sticky toffee pudding does not need a tuile and goes with custard not 'crème anglaise'"
Jenni Osborn said: "What's with the sticky toffee pudding challenge...and the tuile? I've never had biscuit with sticky toffee pudding before.."
Dr Liz Munday wrote: "A tuille full of seeds with sticky toffee pudding are you MAD Prue?!"
Rebekah May said: "What is this @BritishBakeOff? I’ve never had sticky toffee pudding like that! I get the pudding and the toffee sauce and stop."
Gemma H wrote: "Why oh why would you want tuiles with a sticky toffee pudding?!?!?"
Colm said: "What the hell is the point of the tuile on a sticky toffee pudding? That’s just daft."
And Alex Buckley said: "Who the hell has tuille with sticky toffee pudding?"
Maggie had a torrid time in the tent after forgetting to add flour to her recipe.
Prue said of her finished puddings : "Funnily enough, those tuiles look really good."
Paul added: "It looks like caramelised onion chutney, burnt to a cinder."
She became the fourth baker to leave the tent, while the technical challenge left police detective Amanda vowing never to make sticky toffee pudding again.
