Bake Off star Sue Perkins and Naked Attraction host Anna Richardson 'split'

Former Bake Off star Sue Perkins and Naked Attraction host Anna Richardson have reportedly split up after seven years together.

Sue, 51, and Anna, 50, who first coupled up in 2014, are said to have broken up last week and are "devastated".

Friends of the pair say they are still hopeful they can sort out their differences and try to make things work.

The couple had a reputation for being one of the strongest couples in showbiz and had even talked about adopting or fostering a child.

Anna had even told Hello magazine: "For some time I've toyed with the idea of fostering or adopting a child.

I can only speak for myself, not Sue, but I really want to do the training and welcome a child into my life."

She added: "I feel keenly that I'm getting older and time is running out."

A source close to the couple reportedly said: "It's really sad. Both Anna and Sue are devastated."

They told The Sun: "We're all hoping they can patch things up and sort out their differences but for now it appears to be all over."

Our sister paper The Mirror has contacted reps for Sue and Anna and is currently awaiting comment.

The couple met at a Halloween party in 2013 and got chatting.

Sue was recently single and Anna had just ended an 18-year-long relationship with TV producer Charles Martin.

Anna revealed to Hello: "We've known each other for a few years, we've got mutual friends — you know what it's like in TV — you tend to know people."

She also told Lorraine Kelly on her ITV show: "We met at a party and I was recently single and we just… all I can say, there was an understanding between us and for me the planets aligned.

"And I just thought, this person, it's not even about a woman, this person is absolutely extraordinary."

Sue also told the Guardian: "She is much less chaotic than me and has done quite a lot to still the gyroscope of my whirring brain."

They have also worked together on shows including Reasons to Be Cheerful with Matt Lucas.
