Bake Off star Laura Adlington hits back at body-shaming troll who called her 'obese'

Laura Adlington has hit back at a troll that sent her horrendous fat-shaming messages on social media.

The Great British Bake Off finalist was told "your husband must dread having sex with you" in one of the trolls messages, which she has now shared with her followers to highlight the abuse she receives.

Posting on her Instagram Stories, Laura told her fans that she was almost broken by the spiteful correspondence which had slammed her weight and personality.

Laura has now tackled the troll by calling them out on her Instagram Story after she was left "heartbroken" after reading it.

Posting on the social media site, Laura wrote: "This vile message broke me yesterday.

"It was so personal, especially the baby comment, and I felt absolutely heartbroken somebody could be so cruel."

Laura continued: "It made me want to delete my account and hide away.

"But then I remembered the 99.9% of messages I get from you which are supportive and kind."

She added: "I like helping people and IO know how hard it is to feel comfortable in a plus--size body and find nice clothes.

"That's why I share what I do."

Laura has been subjected to online abuse previously and when she was trolled in the past, Bake Off judge Paul Hollywood has spoken out in defence of the show contestant.
