Bake-Off star Kim-Joy is coming to Gateshead on her book tour

Great British Bake-Off finalist Kim-Joy Hewlett won hearts with her extremely cute and extremely carefully made cakes and biscuits last year.

And she also made an impression with her big smile, generous spirit and colourful dress sense. Now, as the latest series of Bake-Off moves into its fourth episode, Kim-Joy is heading off on a book tour - and is coming to Gateshead .

Her recipe book Baking with Kim-Joy: Cute and creative bakes to make your smile, is already on sale and Waterstones at Intu Metrocentre is expecting a long queue when she comes along for a book-signing.

The unticketed event will take place from 1pm on Saturday, September 21 and those wanting the chance to meet Kim-Joy are asked to arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Her book includes recipes like Space Turtle buns, CATembert bread and pigs in mud cake as well as 40 designs for iced biscuit creatures including a cat paradise cake, llama cookied, ornate breads and character macarons.

Kim-Joy also gained fans by speaking frankly about her social anxiety and tackling trolls on social media. Fans must have a copy of 'Baking With Kim-Joy' in order to meet her.

The Great British Bake Off continues on Channel Four tonight at 8pm.
