Since establishing herself a household name in 2017, Prue Leith has become a much-loved figure in the UK thanks to her appearances on the hit show The Great British Bake Off.
The chef cemented her status as a national treasure further when she offered her services to the government on how they could make hospital food healthier - producing an independent review and providing series of recommendations.
Boris Johnson commented on her findings and it appears he's not the only high profile figure who's noted her work.
It's been rumoured that the 81-year-old is set to be made a Dame in the Queen's Birthday Honours.
The Sun has reported that Prue, who received an OBE in 1989 and CBE in 2010, will allegedly be one of those to receive the prestigious honour when the the full list of recipients is published on Friday.
The chef, who is the mother of Conservative MP Danny Kruger, led an independent review into the nutritional value of hospital food back in 2020 after a deadly outbreak of listeriosis in hospitals was linked to pre-packaged sandwiches and salads.
Speaking about her findings, the culinary star said: "The review provides best-in-class examples of how hospitals can serve delicious, nutritious and nicely presented meals on a budget.
"Food is not only important to health, but to morale. Hospital mealtimes should be a moment of enjoyment and a pleasure to serve. They should inspire staff, patients and visitors to eat well at home."
Prime Minister Boris Johnson responded saying: "It's massively important for patients and for staff that they should have hot and nutritious meals available in the wards and across hospitals at all times of the day."
If the rumours are true that Prue is set to be honoured by the palace, she will be following in the footsteps of her Bake Off predecessor.
Mary Berry was made a Dame in the Queen's Birthday Honours list in 2020 for services to the culinary arts, broadcasting and charity.
Speaking about the honour, she former Bake Off host said: "I am absolutely overwhelmed to receive this great honour. For most of my life I have been lucky enough to follow my passion to teach cookery through books and the media.
"My only achievement at school was just one O-level in cookery ..."
The 86-year-old baker was one of the original judges on The Great British Bake Off when the show first aired on BBC One in 2010.
Viewers fell in love with her on-screen relationship with fellow judge Paul Hollywood and The Guardian even suggested that the dynamic duo were "best reality TV judging partnership ever."
However, when it was announced that the cooking contest was set to move to Channel 4 in 2016, Mary, alongside then hosts Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, revealed that she would not remaining on the show.
She was replaced by Prue who teamed up with remaining judge Paul when the hit series relaunched in 2017.
