Chigs Parmar, Giuseppe Dell’Anno and Crystelle Pereira have been confirmed as this year's 2021 Bake Off finalists.
Sadly, fan favourite Jurgen Krauss made a shock exit from the competition this even after failing to impress with his Showstopper.
The departure of the German baker - nicknamed the Jürgenator because he was so consistently good - left his competitors Chigs, Giuseppe and Crystelle completely shocked.
The patisserie week semi-final was so closely fought, at one point presenter Matt Lucas sighed: "Oh my Lord, I don’t think I can take much more of this."
It got off to a staggeringly good start when Paul Hollywood handed out a record THREE handshakes during the Signature challenge, in which the bakers had to make eight layered slices.
Every baker got a handshake except Jürgen, who had made Murder at the Opera slices.
Prue declared them "sensational" but Paul complained about the lack of flavours, saying: "I like it but I don’t love it."
Prue told him: "I’d have given you one," as he admitted: "The bottom line is - I’m in trouble now."
However, Jurgen got back on track with his sablé breton tart as he came first in the technical.
"That went very well. What a relief. I will sleep better tonight," he said.
However, after his showstopper failed to impress as much as his rivals’, the judges announced he would go - to gasps from the rest of the bakers.
Jürgen said: "I feel kind of ok, I kind of saw it coming, I think the others are more shocked than I am.
It has been incredible and I have really enjoyed being here. I have made friends for life, and I will be with them in spirit."
