Baillieston – Man seriously injured in Baillieston flat as police tape off area of Dyke Street

A man was taken to hospital after being seriously injured in an incident at a Baillieston flat this morning.

Emergency crews scrambled to Dyke Street after the alarm was raised at around 10:20am.

The man, believed to be in his 40s, was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

Eyewitnesses describe seeing an area of Dyke Street taped off, with a heavy police presence in the area this afternoon.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said: "At around 10:20am, police were called to a report of a man seriously injured inside a property on Dyke Street, Baillieston.

"Emergency services attended and he was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

"His injuries are not thought to be life-threatening. Enquiries are ongoing."
