
Two men charged over their alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of David King at Salt Ash in August have had bail refused.
Tyson Stamp, 27, was arrested Friday at Raymond Terrace and was later charged with murder, take/detain person in company with intent to obtain advantage, damage property by fire and possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.
Two hours later, Adam Garvey, 39, was arrested at Charlestown Square and later charged with accessory after the fact to murder and accessory after the fact to kidnapping.
Neither men were required to appear in Newcastle Local Court on Saturday morning, where their matters were briefly mentioned, nor did they apply for bail. Both men have been ordered to appear again in Raymond Terrace Local Court on Monday.
David King was found dead in a car at Salt Ash on August 29.
Emergency services had been called to a Hideaway Drive after reports a white Ford Ranger ute had hit a tree.
King was found in the car with a fatal gunshot wound.
Police then found a burnt-out Santa Fe on Masonite Road in Heatherbrae which they believe is linked to the shooting.
Strike Force Breve was established to investigate the incident, with assistance from State Crime Command's Homicide Squad.
