Bail for man charged with roadside murder

Bradley McStay allegedly fatally struck Luke Price with a car southeast of Melbourne in February. (AAP)

A man accused of murdering another man on a Victorian roadside has been granted bail.

Bradley McStay allegedly fatally struck 34-year-old Luke Price with a car at Yannathan, southeast of Melbourne, in February.

McStay was granted bail in the Supreme Court on Thursday on one count of murder.

His family agreed to provide a $200,000 surety to ensure McStay complied with his bail conditions.

They include a curfew, and ban on leaving Victoria or the country. He also cannot drive.

The court was told McStay had a history of using cannabis and methamphetamine.

Due to delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, his lawyer said the man may not face trial until February 2022.

McStay is due back in court on February 4.
