King of Bahrain Hamad bin Issa al-Khalifa held talks on Tuesday with two envoys of US President Donald Trump.
King Hamad received at Al-Sakhir Palace retired General Anthony Zinni, Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Arabian Gulf Affairs in the Near East Bureau at the US Department of State, Timothy Lenderking, who arrived in Bahrain as part of a regional tour, reported the Bahrain news agency (BNA).
The officials tackled historic relations between Bahrain and the US and ways of further strengthening joint ties in all fields.
King Hamad commended Washington’s dedicated efforts and pivotal role in maintaining the pillars of global security, stability and peace, affirming Bahrain’s support.
King Hamad said that resolving the Qatari crisis lies in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The two sides discussed regional and international developments and exchanged views regarding issues of mutual interest.
