Bahraini Minister of Information Ali Al-Rumaihi praised the efforts exerted by Saudi Arabia, under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz, to provide pilgrims with attention and care.

In comments to Asharq Al-Awsat, the Bahraini minister expressed his country’s appreciation for the great services offered by “the Saudi security, military and social sectors to ensure the pilgrims’ safety and comfort as soon as they arrive in the blessed lands.”

He also valued the remarkable qualitative developments in the expansion projects of the Holy Mosque and the Holy Places, including infrastructure facilities such as roads, bridges and tunnels, and the development of health care.

Al-Rumaihi affirmed that the Kingdom has offered throughout history, “the most wonderful examples and standards in good organization, hospitality and services to pilgrims,” underlining the spread of security, justice and tranquility throughout the Two Holy Mosques.

Meanwhile, MP Khalid al-Mufraji, a member of the Iraqi Parliament, criticized attempts to underestimate Saudi Arabia’s efforts to organize the Holy Hajj, noting that those behind the criticism “have forgotten Saudi Arabia’s long history in the service of pilgrims and Muslims in general and the Two Holy Mosques in particular."

“This service goes beyond the Kingdom’s borders to reach all the countries of the world,” he said.

Mufraji, who is a guest of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ program this season, emphasized the “great efforts during the past period, in which the government and people of Saudi Arabia were busy providing services to the pilgrims.”

“On the other hand, there were strident voices trying to downplay these blessed efforts, and falsely criticize the Kingdom in a manner that does not reflect the true image of these great services,” he went on to say.
