Charles Leclerc upstaged Sebastian Vettel to claim his first pole position for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
In only his second race in Ferrari's famous colours, Leclerc, aged just 21 years and 165 days, delivered a thrashing to team-mate Vettel and Mercedes star Lewis Hamilton, who lines up in third.
He becomes the second-youngest pole-sitter in Formula One history, behind Vettel who was 21 years and 72 days old when he secured pole for the 2008 Italian Grand Prix.
Valtteri Bottas, who won the opener in Australia a fortnight ago, makes up an all-Mercedes second row after finishing fourth in Q3 on Saturday.
After some epic battles for the final points places in Melbourne, we should be in for another thrilling race in Bahrain.

Date and UK start time
The Bahrain Grand Prix race weekend begins on Friday, March 29 with the first free practice session starting at 2pm (11am GMT).
The second practice session will take place at 6pm (3pm GMT) on the same day, before the third and final practice session, which is scheduled for 3pm (12pm GMT) on Saturday, March 30.
Qualifying is scheduled to begin at 6pm on the Saturday (3pm GMT), with the race on Sunday, March 31 scheduled for a at 7.10pm (4.10pm) start due to the night race conditions. These times are, however, provisional and could be subject to delay.
TV channel and live stream
UK viewers will no longer have the luxury of being able to choose between the two rights holders for the race in Bahrain.
Sky Sports subscribers will be able to tune in for every live race in the 2019 season, but the same does not apply to terrestrial viewers.
Channel 4 recently downgraded their rights package which means they can only show highlights of qualifying sessions and races, with only the British Grand Prix scheduled for live coverage in the 2019 season.
Sky Sports subscribers can watch the entire race weekend live on the Sky Sports F1 channel (channel 408). If you don’t have Sky Sports, you can watch with a NOW TV Sky Sports Pass, which gives you exactly the same coverage without having to sign up to a contract.
Prediction
Race winner: Charles Leclerc (Ferrari)
Ferriari were left miles behind their rivals in Australia and Sebastian Vettel's frustration was evident when he asked the team why they were so slow. No doubt, much more will be expected of Ferrari on a track which they have won six times in 13 races at Sakhir.
Leclerc will be keen to secure his first win in Formula One after a stunning performance in qualifying on Saturday secured the young Monegasque a maiden pole.
How much longer Vettel holds on to his number one status at Ferrari remains to be seen.
Ferrari put the brakes on Leclerc challenging Vettel for fourth position at the season-opening race in Melbourne to indicate that the young driver, hired from Sauber after an impressive rookie campaign, will play a support role this year.
Yet the margin of Leclerc's one-lap advantage on Saturday night, a third-of-a-second over this 3.3-mile course, could force Ferrari into a rethink.
