The Bahraini judiciary issued two execution sentences and three years to life imprisonment against 21 suspects in two terrorist attacks targeting security men.
The judge revoked the citizenship of all the convicts.
The fourth High Criminal Court issued Monday its verdicts against 10 terror suspects, Terror Crime Chief Prosecutor Advocate General Ahmed al-Hammadi said.
They were accused of setting up and joining a terrorist group, training on using weapons to commit terror crimes, manufacturing and illegally possessing arms and ammunition, and attacking policemen.
The court sentenced one of the suspects to 15 years in jail, two to 10 years and six to three years. It acquitted one and revoked the Bahraini citizenship of the first nine suspects.
Hammadi said that the Court of Cassation upheld the death sentence of the second and third convicts, life sentences against three convicts and the rest of the sentences ranging from seven years to three years against seven convicts in the case.
Investigation showed implication of four suspects in shooting policemen in 2016 with a homemade firearm while they were deployed on al-Janabiyah public road.
Two suspects were arrested and the firearm, bullets as well as materials used for making homemade weapons were found in their possession.
Investigation also showed that one of the suspects gave the weapon to another to shoot policemen.
Three suspects were also implicated in another shooting incident, which targeted a police patrol deployed on al-Janabiyah road.
