Bahrain condemned on Monday the Iran-backed Houthi militias in Yemen for targeting last week two Saudi oil tankers in the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.
A Bahraini cabinet session, presided over by Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, slammed the attack as a “cowardly terrorist escalation that poses a serious threat to the freedom of international trade and maritime navigation in Bab al-Mandab Strait and Red Sea.”
The cabinet affirmed Manama’s full support for the Kingdom, voicing its backing of the measures it deems necessary to protect its resources, security and stability.
