Bahanaga train accident: KIIT provides job, education to victims’ kin

BHUBANESWAR: The KIIT deemed-to-be-University has provided employment and free education to the family members of the deceased of the triple train tragedy that occurred at Bahanaga in Balasore district on June 2. The institution has offered jobs and free education to next of kin of the deceased from Odisha.

Achyuta Samanta, founder of KIIT and KISS, on Sunday met the candidates and offered them employment letters. A total of 20 candidates opted for the job and two children of different families opted for higher education in the KIIT. They are now pursuing education in KIIT, said an official statement.

Earlier, Samanta had announced to support the victims’ families by offering a job to one member from each family at KIIT and KISS as per their eligibility and provide free education to their kids at these two institutions according to their eligibility from standard one to higher level. The official process was done by the KIIT authority, said an official statement of the university.
