What’s the best way to burn a few calories when you’re a baggage handler? Doing press-ups in the cargo hold of a plane, naturally.
One baggage handler at Manchester Airport managed to get in a morning workout while waiting for suitcases to travel up the conveyor belt onto an easyJet Airbus A320neo aircraft.
The press-ups were caught on video by passenger Andy Lee while he was waiting in the departure lounge, which overlooks the tarmac.
In the footage, the baggage handler managed to do 20 reps in the hold before jumping up to load a suitcase.
Lee shared the footage on Twitter with the hashtag #morningvibes.
A spokesperson for easyJet told The Independent: “We are aware of the video and have raised it with our ground handling services supplier at Manchester Airport.”
It’s not the first time an airport worker has used some high-octane moves while on the job.
Jahmaul Allen, a ramp agent at Toronto Pearson International Airport, is the self-styled “YYZ dancer”, who dances and waves his illuminated orange batons when directing a plane for take-off.
