BAFTA 2019 TV awards: All the winners, news, gossip and celebs from the ceremony

A host of the biggest names in British television descended on London's Royal Festival Hall for the BAFTA TV Awards 2019, which recognised major achievement on the small screen.

Chat show host Graham Norton returned to host the proceedings, having previously steered the ship in 2005, and didn't hold back with his characteristically barbed sense of humour, taking a shot at recently dismissed BBC radio host Danny Baker in a gag-packed opening monologue.

It was a huge night for hit BBC thriller Killing Eve, with Phoebe Waller-Bridge's drama scoring a hat trick of gongs: Best Supporting Actress for Fiona Shaw, a Leading Actress trophy for Jodie Comer and the coveted Best Drama award.

Benedict Cumberbatch was crowned Best Actor for his performance in Sky mini-series Patrick Melrose, telling the audience that he had believed himself to be "always the bridesmaid, never the bride" at the awards show.

After a tumultuous 2018, Geordie duo Ant and Dec made their return to the red carpet, where they were greeted by a cheering crowd. Later in the ceremony, the pair took to the stage to pick up awards for Britain's Got Talent and for I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here, joined by stand-in presenter Holly Willoughby for the latter win.
