Baffled Emmerdale fans spot plot hole as Harriet and Dawn drag dead body around the village

Emmerdale fans were left a little baffled this evening that vicar Harriet Finch and Dawn Taylor were able to drag a dead body around the village without anyone noticing.

DI Malone finally met his maker this evening after he was shot dead in a very Fatal Attraction-esque scene by Dawn.

But rather than call the police, Harriet made the very unsaintly decision to cover up his death.

Wiping up the blood from the floor, Harriet frantically went about cleaning the scene of the crime before rolling Malone up in the rug.

It then came to moving the body and Harriet, wearing yellow rubber gloves, dragged Malone by herself down the steps of the cottage in broad daylight.

"I can't do this on my own!" Harriet shouted at Dawn, but no one in the village appeared to see or hear them.

The pair managed to eventually haul the body into the boot of the car, but viewers were very confused that they had managed to do so without attracting attention.

One tweeted: "Am I the only only one who's laughing at Harriet pulling that rug with Malone's body in across the carpet #Emmerdale."

While another questioned: "No-one in the village heard three gunshots then?? #Emmerdale."

A third wrote: "They’re moving a body in broad daylight. Their bravery is unmatched! If you have a dead body you have to move, wait until nighttime. #Emmerdale."

"Mastery body moving skills at its finest there ladies #Emmerdale," another joked.

One tweeted: "Oh come on, this body dragging stuff is sitcom stupidity #Emmerdale."

Another quipped: "Has Harriet actually lost her mind? #emmerdale."

*Emmerdale airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7pm on ITV
