BAE has given 5,000 face shields to Southmead Hospital

BAE Systems, the UK’s largest manufacturing employer, has to date provided 5,000 face shields to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.

BAE Systems is now using all of its industrial-scale 3D printers to produce face shields for the NHS across the UK.

To achieve the maximum impact, these face shields are being sent directly to where there is the greatest need.

Fresh supplies are also being delivered to frontline health workers every single day while the need for protection continues.

Over 26,000 face shields have been delivered to date across the UK another 40,000 are due to arrive this week.

BAE Systems are also using their supply chain to manufacture tens of thousands more face shields.
