The 34-year-old Lin, twice Olympic gold medallist, will play Shi Yuqi in an all-Chinese final in Birmingham on Sunday.
Shi, last year's runner-up, overcame South Korean Son Wan-ho 21-17 21-14 in the first semi-final.
“I think pace is one aspect of winning today but also I think yesterday’s match for him (Son), I think he was too tired,” the 22-year Shi said.
