Kemi Badenoch has accused the government of “giving a whole new meaning to fiddling while Rome burns" after a Labour MP launched a campaign to make 2026 the “summer of sex” and said she even hopes to bring sex toys into parliament.
Speaking at Prime Minister's Questions on Wednesday (15 April), the Tory leader attacked the opposition for "promoting sex toys in Parliament" during a time of "profound national seriousness".
Derbyshire South MP Samantha Niblett is campaigning for more open, inclusive, and lifelong sex education, under the title “Yes Sex Please, We’re British!”
As part of the push, she hopes to bring sex toys into parliament to encourage more conversation around sexual pleasure, although the devices may not be allowed in by security.
