Palnackie smiled in the face of adversity on Friday to ensure kids could have their Hallowe’en party.
Torrential rain damaged the village hall which was to have been the venue for fun and games.
But rather than cancel the entire event, parent Emma Ross held the party at her home instead.
And Emma’s “Plan B” meant 11 children aged between four and 12 were able to enjoy their creepy capers after all.
Emma said: “I just had the schoolkids in my house. We had bought a lot the stuff and it was just so they could have their party. It was really good and they were all so well behaved – which was a bonus.
Games on the night included musical bumps, feel the box for mini chocolate pumpkins and wrapping the mummy in toilet roll.
Emma added: “I think they are having people in to fix the hall this week.”
