I’m crying myself to sleep every night over gun control. Please. There are so many people who feel unsafe and unwell.
We need extensive background checks and evaluations before people can purchase deadly weapons. I will never understand how it is legal to purchase a gun that can kill so many people in a matter of minutes. I am begging for change. I’m only 23 years old and will not bring children into this world if this is how things continue. It’s a nightmare.

I am only asking for gun control. New Zealand announced gun laws would change only 24 hours after a mass shooting. Why can’t it be the same here? Why does America demand and get the right to own such powerful and deadly weapons? There are so many individuals who own and purchase deadly weapons that are way beyond necessary.
I’m terrified for the future. Most people are. It’s so sad to be a part of a county who has the most mass shootings (250 and most likely counting, as you probably know already). Is this not of concern?

The Senate majority leader should be addressed as “Moscow Mitch” or “High-Capacity Magazine Mitch” for his refusal to allow bills addressing foreign interference in our elections and sensible gun control to be introduced for debate and a vote.
