Back to basics message for Kinnoull as Perth side eye return to winning ways

Kinnoull manager Alan Cameron is looking for his side to get back to basics.

The Tulloch Park men endured a disappointing afternoon last weekend and lost out 3-0 against Newburgh.

Cameron hopes for a reaction when his squad makes the trip to take on Oakley United on Saturday.

Oakley are also on the hunt for a return to winning ways following their defeat to Luncarty.

Kinnoull boss Cameron said: “Oakley will make it difficult for us and they’ll be looking to bounce back.

“We just need to make sure we learn from the mistakes we made last Saturday.

“It was very disappointing that we didn’t compete the way we should have.

“But we’ve had two good sessions and a wee bit of a rocket up the backsides.

“Hopefully we’ll get the reaction we’re looking for to get back on track.  I’m sure come this weekend we’ll be fired up.”

First and foremost, Cameron is asking his players for 100 per cent work rate at all times.

He added: “If you don’t compete to your absolute maximum every week, you are wasting your time.

“In this league you need to earn the right to play.  We certainly need to get back to basics and do the right things.

“Everyone should be fully fit and we have no injury worries. We should have 18 or 19 available.”
