The Alvark Tokyo celebrate their 71-67 victory over the Chiba Jets in the B.League Championship final on Saturday at Yokohama Arena -- a repeat of last season's championship game. Daiki Tanaka scored 16 points and Yudai Baba, named the game MVP, had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Alvark, who led by 19 points going into the fourth quarter, but had to hold off a furious comeback by the Jets, who cut the lead to 2 with 27 seconds left. Chiba, which won the All-Japan tournament in January, finished the regular season with a league-best 52-8 record, eight games ahead of the Alvark, who made the playoffs as a wild card. "Being champion of Japan is a huge thing ... To win two in a row is beyond a dream," Tokyo head coach Luka Pavicevic said in a postgame TV interview.
