Hector Bellerin made his long-awaited return from a knee injury on Friday night in the Premier League 2 match between Arsenal and Wolves at New Bucks Head Stadium.
The 24-year-old has been out injured since January after picking up a serious injury against Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium, and has been working hard over the summer to get back on the pitch.
The right-back was joined by Kieran Tierney, who made his first appearance for the club since joining from Celtic in the summer, in the Under-23s game against Wolves.
The duo both lasted over an hour, leaving the pitch with the Gunners in the lead following two goals from young striker Folarin Balogun.
Bellerin looked calm in defence as he closes in on full fitness, while Tierney was perhaps slightly ring-rusty in his first match action following his groin surgery in May.
Spain international Bellerin featured on the club's Twitter page following the run-out, stating that it had been a difficult time for him following the injury, but he's eagerly anticipating a return to first-team action.
"Hey everyone, well after eight long months, I'm finally in the red and white; finally on the pitch.
"It's been a tough period, but we're back: we're back better than ever and yeah - can't wait to be at the Emirates. See ya!"
