Bachelor viewers mock show for hilarious thong bikini editing fail

Viewers of the US Bachelor are mercilessly mocking the show after spotting a bizarre editing error which made it to air this week.

In a move which has seen the dating series labelled 'the most confusing show I've ever seen', it seems producers decided the thong bikinis worn by contestants on a group date were not appropriate attire.

To create the illusion of full bum coverage, their swimsuits were edited to be stretched and coloured in - but fans were quick to notice the somewhat questionable results.

As the group stood with their backs to the camera facing a waterfall in Costa Rica, two of the skimpy outfits looked as though they had been badly drawn on, with large yellow and red blobs appearing on the behinds of two of the hopeful love interests.

Another, sporting a leopard print number, appears to have had her bikini bottoms doubled in size and stretched across in a bid to achieve full-cheek coverage.

In a later side shot of the group, one of the previous victims is also given an odd side guard addition to her swimsuit to hide her 'modesty'.

Viewers took to Twitter to question what they had just seen, with one writing: "Does the bachelor REALLY have to edit diapers on the girls in bikinis."

A second said: "I'm obsessed with the bachelor giving the girls thong bikinis to wear on this date but then editing massive fake full coverage bikini bottoms onto them. Absolutely the most confusing show I've ever seen."

Another added: "Families have seen worse things than half of someone’s a** cheek! The Photoshop looks like I coloured it on with Snapchat... let's be real."

Things haven't always gone to plan on the New Zealand version of the popular show either, when a first date for two of the cast ended on a slight bum note.

The pair headed to an animal sanctuary and attempted to ignore the flatulence of the cuddly koala they were holding - until it did a poo, landing straight in Matilda's belly button.
