Since the very first season preview of The Bachelor was aired months ago, fans of the show been patiently waiting for one particular scene from Colton Underwood’s unpredictable season.
The clip has been replayed time after time this season as ABC continues to tease its arrival – but through seven episodes, we still haven’t seen Colton temporarily ditch the show by jumping over a white fence.
Colton has addressed the moment in various interviews, but has called it the “turning point” of his season.
“I was gone for a while. In that moment and the feelings that I was feeling, I left the show. And I just needed time to myself.”
In an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel, Colton said he eventually encountered some wildlife in the woods and made his way back to civilization.
With only three episodes left, Bachelor fans were sure that Colton would make the leap in Week 7 – but it now seems as if the moment occurs on a hometown date. We also don’t know if the clip of the woman screaming is actually a reaction to the fence jump. (If I had to guess, I’d say the voice belongs to Caelynn.) Colton even teased the fence jump before Monday’s show.
Bachelor host Chris Harrison tweeted that the fence jump is coming up soon.
