Former Arsenal full-back Bacary Sagna has called on Arsenal fans to continue to show faith in new head coach Mikel Arteta.
The new man in charge saw his team earn their first three points under his guidance on New Year's Day, with an impressive 2-0 home win over Champions League chasing Manchester United.
Goals from Nicolas Pepe and Socratis were enough to see the Gunners take all three points from the game and close the gap to their opponents to four points.
The win comes after a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in Arsenal's last outing, where Arteta's men came away from the game with nothing despite a good performance.
Taking part in a question and answer session on his Instagram stories, Sagna was asked if Arsenal fans should give Arteta time before judging him for any disappointing results.
"He's already bought something to the team..right.." was the answer.
"Time nowadays is a luxury..just think long term and you will see where he brings the club at," he added.
Arteta has four points from his first three games in charge of Arsenal and next sees his team in FA Cup third round action against Leeds United at the Emirates Stadium.
Should performances and results continue to improve, then the Spaniard will be given plenty of time at the club to achieve his ambitions.
