Baby taken to hospital and four people arrested following reports of threats made during break-in

Four people have been arrested and a baby has been taken to hospital as a precaution following reports of a break-in in Bolton.

Police were called to reports of a disturbance on Alexandra Road, Stoneclough - on the Radcliffe/Kearsley border - at around 9am on Saturday (February 20).

Enquiries suggested that four people were making threats, causing damage and breaking into a property.

Officers attended and arrested two men, a woman and a boy, aged between 17 and 70 on suspicion of burglary.

They all remain in custody for questioning, Greater Manchester Police have said.

A ten-month-old baby has been taken to hospital but is not believed to be injured.

A GMP spokesperson said: “Officers were called around 9am this morning (Saturday 20 February 2021) to Alexandra Road, Stoneclough to a report of a disturbance.

“Initial enquiries suggest four people were making threats, causing damage and forcing entry into a property.

“Officers attended and two men, a woman and a boy, aged between 17 and 70, were arrested on suspicion of burglary.

“They all remain in custody for questioning.

“A 10-month-old baby has been taken to hospital as a precaution.”
