Baby taken to hospital after police called to incident in Carntyne

A baby has been taken to hospital after emergency services rushed to an incident in east end of Glasgow.

Officers responded to the disturbance on Ravelston Street this evening after reports that the baby had "taken unwell".

Scottish Ambulances also attended the scene.

The baby has since been taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.

An eyewitness told Glasgow Live the street has since been cordoned off by police officers.

A Police Scotland spokesman told Glasgow Live : “"Officers were called to Ravelston Street in Glasgow at around 5.05pm on Saturday, 26 September, 2020, after a baby had taken unwell.

"The Scottish Ambulance Service attended and the baby was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”

The Scottish Ambulance service have been approached for comment.
