Baby rushed to hospital after two-car crash on Scots road

An 18-month-old baby was rushed to hospital following after a two-car crash in Midlothian last night.

Officers from Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service were called out to Vogrie Road, Gorebridge, at around 4.20pm on Monday, February 22, following reports of a smash.

The boy was taken by ambulance to The Royal Hospital for Sick Children, in Edinburgh, following the horror incident.

Details of his injuries are not yet known.

Enquires into the crash are currently ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson told the Daily Record: “Around 4.20pm on Monday, 22 February, we received a report of a two vehicle crash on Vogrie Road.

“Emergency services attended and an 18-month old boy was taken to The Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh by ambulance.

“Enquires are ongoing.”

The Scottish Ambulance Service has been contacted for comment.
