Baby rushed to hospital after 'taking unwell' as emergency services called to Glasgow house

A baby has been rushed to hospital after emergency services were called to a disturbance at a Glasgow property.

Police were called to the scene on Ravelston Street in Carntyne at around 5.05pm on Saturday.

The Scottish Ambulance Service also raced to the address following reports that a baby had “taken unwell”, Glasgow Live reports.

The youngster has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital but their condition is currently unknown.

A police probe into the incident remains ongoing as one eye witness claimed cops have locked down the street.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Officers were called to Ravelston Street in Glasgow at around 5.05pm on Saturday, 26 September, 2020, after a baby had taken unwell.

"The Scottish Ambulance Service attended and the baby was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing.”
